Episode 29: Spring WAS in the Air

All links to Ravelry are labelled as such. I try to include links to outside websites as much as possible. At this time, I am not including links for purchasing yarns, needles, etc. If I do, they will also be appropriately labelled. As a quick reminder: I am not affiliated with any businesses. If you’d like to show your support of the podcast, please rate and review on your listening device, follow me on instagram, and / or join the ravelry discussion group (ravelry link) if it is safe for you to do so.

MHK: Lace swatch considerations have had me digging through reference books and the yarn stash. I eventually landed on a skein of Studio Sock Yarn by Neighborhood Fiber Company in the Roland Park colorway for the two lace pattern swatches.

The lace patterns I chose are ‘Little Leaves’ and ‘Vertical Lace Trellis’. A sample of the ‘Vertical Lace Trellis’ lengthened significantly with blocking.

Operation Sock Drawer: The Ultimate Koi Pond Meta Socks (ravelry link) have entered the “blackhole” phase of knitting. Somehow. That shouldn’t be possible with the frequency of striping on these socks, but it has. That, or my feet have gotten longer.

The Phenomenal Sweater (ravelry link) is still on the needles. The waist shaping is nearly completed. I am looking forward to being able to wear this vintage cropped sweater.

Besties: Making *~*Magic*~* Happen – 13:06

Stalled  – 13:19

The biggest issue, shared among all knitting, spinning and fiber endeavors has been motivational. Motivation. I don’t have it. I don’t really know where it went! I blame the weather – we had about a week and a half of really good weather. Then the mercury dropped and it has been dark and dreary ever since.

This one little tomato survived! Such a trooper.
