Episode 22: Well That Number Worked Out Nicely

All links to Ravelry are labelled as such. I try to include links to outside websites as much as possible. At this time, I am not including links for purchasing yarns, needles, etc. If I do, they will also be appropriately labelled. As a quick reminder: I am not affiliated with any businesses. If you’d like to show your support of the podcast, please rate and review on your listening device, follow me on instagram, and / or join the ravelry discussion group (ravelry link) if it is safe for you to do so.

Life on the Road Update – 01:24

The website changed address ever so slightly, but if you are reading this, you probably figured that out all on your own. As you can also see, the episode audio id available here on the show notes.

The second piece of news is that I passed the Level 1 of the Master HandKnitting Certification from The Knitting Guild Association. I’m still pretty excited over that. Looking forward to level 2.

Fiber Fuckery: You Decide. – 05:40

Open Throttle – 05:59

Operation Sock Drawer continues with the completion of the first Koi Pond Meta Sock. Project page found here (ravelry link), but there is a problem. The sock is slouchy to the point where it is almost unwearable. Decisions must be made.

The Wingspan is continuing to grow. Even though it (ravelry link) looks tiny, I need to trust my gauges and remember that blocking wool can work miracles.

Gauge Rage: Scream into the Void – 09:52

Unboxing – 10:05

In my December 2021 Knitcrate box I received some beautiful wool blend by Audine Wool. My crate contained two skeins of ‘Harmony‘ (ravelry link) by Audine wools in the “Rhythm & Blues” colorway.

Scrump-tious

The vintage theme and the scrumptious color have me very excited.

Broke Crafters of Central Maryland – 19:15

Stalled – 20:02

In this episodes ‘Stalled’ segment, I theorized a method to fix the slouchy-ness of the Ultimate Koi Pond Meta Socks. If I decrease my needle size only on the color stripes from 2.5 mm to 2 mm, I that will take care of the issue nicely. That also means that I will be able to work the socks as a pair – my preferred method.

Two socks and a ceramic sheep. Handmade by Hudbando’s god-daughter. Talented as f*ck that one.

Mom’s Yarn Stash: OMG – 24:37

Scenic Route – 25:00

On the day this episode was recorded, my area was blanketed by several cm of snow. So my dreams of spring plantings and rose blooms are currently on hold.

Are you under there rose? Rose!? ROOOOSE?!?!?
Spring is under that blanket, it must be.

But dream I shall continue to do!
